Round Two-And-A-Half – Who Am I?

5-point clue I was born in 1956 in California and I began my acting career on stage at the Great Lakes Shakespeare Festival in Ohio. I am currently adding my voice to the third in a successful series of children’s films. Who Am I?

5 Points: I was born in Lincolnshire in 1958, and am happily married with three daughters; in 2003 I was listed among the Top 50 funniest people in Britain, and I am currently making a six-part series marking the 20th anniversary of my comedy sketch show.

4 Points: In 2001, together with my comedy partner, I declined an OBE.

The George Quiz Champion's League

For the next ten weeks, i have decided to have a "Champions Of Champions" competition, with an as yet undisclosed prize (still working on The George manager - watch this space). After much deliberation, i have chosen to award points for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th placed teams at each week's quiz rather than amalgamate the total quiz scores. This gives teams a chance to "catch up" if they miss a week and i think is a fairer way of scoring.
